Charities
At BEETc, we always try to give back whenever we can, check out the below to see what we’ve been up to!
Carpentry Day
- For our first 2024 volunteering day we went over to Bridgehouse Gardens, part of Grow Lewisham. A community project committed to improving access to local land, supporting learning, sharing of resources and building unity between people and planet through the practice of growing food together
- We split off into 3 teams and put our carpentry skills to use, assembling several frames for inside the greenhouse, ready in time for the new season. Remember to check out our BTS clip at the end!
Beach Clean Day
- BEETc joined the Beach Clean Day hosted by Marine Conservation Society & OSPAR Commission.
- Our team visited West Beach, near Littlehampton, a beautiful seaside town facing the English Channel. Together with 11 other volunteers, we collected 8 kilograms of litter, comprising 680 items made from plastic, rubber, cloth, metal and glass.
Helping our Neighbours
- We saw our neighbours Spread a Smile with a mountain of treat boxes destined for NHS hospitals and just had to help!
- With the whole team, we quickly formed a production line to get them loaded quickly into the delivery van.
Charity Luncheon
- At The MarTech Summit Roundtable London, a charity luncheon was held, where attendees discussed partnerships between brands and non-profit organisations, over a delicious meal
- The charity luncheon allowed attendees to leave the summit with a reminder of the fundamentals of the industry, which will hopefully lead to more initiatives between companies and non-profit organisations in the long run.
